QUILTING
Here at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, we have a group of dedicated women who spend time together every Wednesday making quilts. They have been meeting for over 20 years and create over 200 quilts every year!
Quilts are mostly donated, approximately three-quarters, and the rest are sold to fund supplies in subsequent years. These beautiful quilts are given away to newly baptized babies, and donated to Youth and Family Services, Meals on Wheels, Sleep In Heavenly Peace, Lutheran Social, and the Abbott House, as well as the VA in Ft Mead to name several. The quilters' work also includes beautiful banners for our church and stoles for our pastor.
We'd love to have you join us. You don't need to be an expert, there is a job for everyone. Every once in a while they even help out with more "personal" projects. Come and join us!
